What "big vacation" did you enjoy the most? And where do you usually go, or would like to go, on mini vacations?

I spent 2.5 weeks in Italy and that was a dream come true. I took the train down the coast and visited the cities on my terms not hanging outside of a tour bus. The last mini vacation I took was to New Orleans. My next mini vacation will be to Nashville and the next big vacation will be to Belize or Thailand.
